A page presents a single topic
The basic unit of wiki content is a page, which addresses a single topic. Think of a typical web page: the best ones tend to be nice and short and easy to understand.
Each page is composed of regular text, plus some additional bits that aid with formatting (or styling) the text. The technical term for these bits is wiki markup (markup is the M in HTML). With the right design, the wiki markup can be very simple and [easy to learn] for most users.

A page contains text and wiki markup to cover a single topic
Some users prefer using the Rich Text Editor instead of wiki markup. This is similar to using a word processor, but without a careful wiki design, becomes more difficult and less reliable as the page designs grow more complex.
Example
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit.
Aliquam fermentum vestibulum est. Sed quis tortor.
