2.1.3. Global Permissions
Settings that affect the entire wiki
Global permissions affect the entire wiki. They can be set from the Administration screen's Permissions menu option.
The primary ones you'll need to think about are Can Use, Personal Space, and Create Space.
| Permission | Enables |
|---|---|
| Can Use | A user to access the wiki. Without it, only a login screen is accessible. |
| Attach Files to User Profile | This is an obsolete permission; you can safely ignore it. |
| Update User Status | Users to set the status message in their user profile. |
| Personal Space | Each user to create a single personal space. |
| Create Space | Users to add new spaces to the wiki. |
| Confluence Administrator | Full control and access to all areas of the wiki except for security settings (permissions). |
| System Administrator | Full control and access to all areas of the wiki. |
More details are available in the Confluence documentation.
